School Relocation Movers
A Typical School Move: The Assessment
To determine the scope of your job and to create a comprehensive plan, an overall project assessment must take place. During this process, relocation professional from Corrigan’s school and university moving services team will conduct a “walk-through” of the facility (or facilities) involved. They will gather information related to the size and scope of the school moving project, including the location of all items to be moved.
While the general location is assessed, our school relocation expert will also be identifying furniture and equipment involved as part of the move. They will be asking questions, such as whether any furniture will require disassembly and reassembly as part of this project. If disassembly is required for cubicles or other office furniture, our experts will also want to know if there is any reconfiguration planned for reassembling.
During this walk-through process, technology such as computer systems, monitors, media, and other equipment will be identified. Our school relocation expert will be considering any disconnect and reconnection services required. In the case of moving science laboratories or technology labs, our experts will be extra sensitive to items needing special care and handling, including high-value equipment, specimens, or hazardous materials being moved.
While our school relocation expert works to confirm the tangible goods needing to be relocated, they will also be gauging additional, and perhaps not-so-obvious needs of the project. They’ll be considering packing materials and supplies such as how many totes, stickers and boxes are needed, as well as carts and speed packs required. You’ll never be left guessing about any detail related to your school and university moving services.
Once the details of the project are understood, Corrigan’s school relocation expert can compile the information and provide a cost estimate for the project.
School Moving: Phase I – Move Out
School Moving: Phase II – Move In
Phase II of the school moving project is essentially the reverse of phase I. Our school relocation movers will again ensure the building and facilities are properly protected, securing all traveled areas, including door jams, elevator entrances, walls, and flooring. Items will be delivered and relocated to their properly designated location. Our moving crew will work to reassemble any furniture, before reconnecting equipment and devices.
Once items are successfully delivered to their proper location, and all reconnection services have been completed, our team will conduct one final walk-through with assigned school representatives to ensure that all work has been properly completed to the highest-level that Corrigan is known for.
